Really good soul food spot. What really stood out to me about this place is that while the meats I got were very good, the sides were just as good. Maybe even better. If you're just looking to try them out, I would go ahead and go with the three meat combo. That way it's basically two meals for $15-$16 each. If anything, if you're a catfish lover, you best believe it's going to be some of the crispiest flakiest catfish you've ever had, and the seasoning is on point too. It's clear that Jeanine really cares about her food and making sure that people feel welcome.

The food was amazing and affordable, I fed a friend and I with the medium sized crab gumbo (only $20) it was very savory and she did not skimp on the portions! The chicken was tender, the sausage was crisp and delicious, the roux was fatty and flavorful, and the crab is what you expect, delicious. We got to try the collard greens as well. A lot of places either have bitter or flavorless collard greens but these were savory and flavorful and the turkey in it was tender and salty. The woman in charge was super sweet the whole time and for a business only about a month old, the atmosphere felt like you were at a friends restaurant, not just some hole in the wall on florin. I HIGHLY recommend going here and getting the jambalaya or gumbo + the collard greens. Try out the food before I come back and eat it all.

Ms Jeanine put her entire foot in this food. She is very thoughtful. I am allergic to fish and she cooked the shrimp separately from the catfish and also made it to where the catfish was packed by itself. Definitely coming back! 10/10!! Go visit her now not later!!!

This woman is Blessed!!! Her food is soo delicious i mean EVERYTHING we tasted was DELICIOUS!!! She owns and operates the business on her own so show her some grace everything is made fresh to order. She had a great attitude and wonderful conversation. My friends and i will definitely be back from Fresno!! Thank you

I am so OVER spending a lot of money for poor service and very little food in return. That's why this place is a dream come true. Let’s start with the owner. She is pleasant, respectful, gives great customer service, and you can tell she really gives a damn – she cares. That alone is enough reason to come back. Not too many people care these days . Let’s talk about the environment. No, it is not a beautiful eye-catching joint. If you’re coming for the ambience because you want a good romantic evening , this isn’t the place. That’s why this wonderful woman can afford to give out great portions at a more than reasonable price . Her goal must be to tempt your palate and satisfy your tummy and she did just that. When I saw the beautiful even fry on the catfish and the bountiful seasonings in the roux, for the Cajun corn, my eyes were as happy as if they were looking at the Taj Mahal. Now, let’s talk about the main event— food‼ Quantity — can’t be beat. No way I could eat it all and no way I could ask for more. Honestly, she should raise her price point. I’d $ pay it. I easily got three meals out of that. Quality—No words!! Good clean fry on the catfish; on the fried ribs, and on the prawns. No hint of old grease or blended oils. Top-o-the-line for sure ! Flavor—giiiiirl! Bruh! Mac and cheese was screaming’ while trying to get away from my fork. lol. Yams—best I’ve ever had outside of my own kitchen! Cajun corn—STOP! This is the part where I would say it was so damn good it will make you slap yo' momma. However, I don’t condone violence so let’s just say you would give her a good shove. When I left there my mouth wanted more and my body told me if I ate one more bite I was gonna do that Thanksgiving pass out after dinner thing that I hate so much. Next time I’m just gonna have to eat NOTHING before I go so I will have enough room to be the little piglet that I am. If you miss this place your taste buds are gonna come back to haunt you. If you don’t want that drama, I suggest you stop here sooner rather than later. Be good to yourself and each other!

I had the gumbo, gravy rice, mac & cheese, and peach cobbler. The large gumbo was hefty and full of shrimp, sausage, veggies, and fresh, meaty crab legs . It’s a runnier gumbo than what you’d get down south but it’s chock full of spice and flavor. The mac and cheese was homemade, just like you’d get at mom’s house and the gravy rice wasn’t too bad. The peach cobbler was a showstopper! The crust was buttery and crumbly and the peaches were tart, juicy, with a perfect balance of sweetness. Definitely a great, local, holistic place to get some good local soul food.

Me and my sister and our friends went to Sacramento this past weekend for a 24 hours trip. We drove all over Sac trying to find food with no hopes or either long wait times. We got on google and found a hidden gem Yes we pulled into Ca’jeanine’s N Soul Food‼ When we walked in we were greeted, and immediately gave menu’s to look over. We all ordered food and we all were satisfied. Literally EVERYTHING was sooo GOOD. Things we didn’t order she let us try and we then placed a order for those plates Ms.Jeanine was VERY sweet and humble. We not only loved her food but we love her customer service and her restaurant set up. She is working by herself. Taking orders, being the cook and a server. I can’t wait to go back eat and vibe with Ms. Jeanine
